City Management of Öhringen

Background:

The City Management of Öhringen is committed to implementing a sustainable urban development model, which connects previous designs, measures and efforts of the town of Öhringen and aims at permanently securing the economic future of the area and developing both location and town.

As the controlling unit, the City Management is the umbrella organization for urban areas of responsibility such as city marketing, civic activism, the “Öhringer Agenda 21”, location marketing, culture, tourism, and the promotion of trade and industry.

Uniting these areas is meant to secure the existing potential of the Öhringen location with regards to building stock, structures, a sectoral mix, functions, attractiveness, performance, flair, image, quality of living, and to further develop them in a growing atmosphere of competition... for all citizens and city developers.

Existing guidelines, goals and to date partially unconnected development designs are gradually being linked and updated. In the light of lasting and sustainable city development, they are implemented by means of appropriate measures and projects.

The City Management of Öhringen integrates classic elements of city marketing and city advertisement into an extensive and interdisciplinary concept for sustainable city development.
